Cannes is a beautiful city in the Alpes Maritimes department in south eastern France. It is a very busy tourist destination and the annual host of the Cannes film festival. Cannes was nothing more than a fishing village around 150 years ago. Since then, it has now become a graceful city that is well known through-out the world and attracts a lot of foreign clientele.

The most interesting places in Cannes are; the old port, Haute Ville (the city on high), the Croisette, the Palace of festivals and the rue Meynadier. These places are a must visit, when you go to Cannes.

Every educated man has heard of racing, although they LOVE to race, some of them also take it up as a profession while some just leave it as a hobby! Which man doesn’t like to race? Whether it’s for showing off their male-ness or just proving themselves! Formula one is a race that’s more or less a synonymous to racing , which is world famous and takes place every year , called the Monaco Grand Prix racing which has been on since 1929, that takes place between May 21st- 24th. This event is considered to the most “happening” and applauded event alongside other such events as Indianapolis 500, Triple Crown of motorsport etc.

This race is the most challenging, considering it is held on the lanes of the town of Monaco, with unbelievable and scary elevation changes along with tight corners, although one needs to think of how to get through the race with a relatively low speed, it can be as dangerous! Monaco, the world’s second smallest country and an independent monarchy city located in Western Europe, is regarded as a tax heaven, where most of the inhabitants are filthy rich and are originated from foreign countries. Prince Albert II is the head of Monaco. The city is the world’s most compactly populated one. It is also the smallest French speaking city in the world. Ever since 1929, the Monaco grand prix is being held in the streets of Monaco annually. Grand prix is one of the most prestigious car races in the world. The circuit erecting for the race, itself takes over six weeks to complete, and the removal goes on for around three weeks. The racing track in Monaco is the most demanding Formula One track. The Monaco grand prix is about 77 laps around the winding, narrow streets of Monte Carlo. Monaco grand prix is one of the most exciting, famous and well known in the world.
