The term luxury Mega Yacht refers to a very luxurious privately owned mega yacht that is efficiently crewed. Luxury yachts are also called as a Super Yacht, a luxury mega yacht can be either a motor or sailing yacht.

At the starting of the twentieth century, the term luxury yacht began to appear, when rich individuals build large luxury boats for their personal pleasure. Some of the early luxury motor yachts are Christina O and Savarona.
