Bareboat charter: This type of charter yachts is for the experienced people who are has been sailing before. Actually, the owner of the boat will have some kind qualifications from the national authority before sailing on the charter yacht. This qualification would be something like an Offshore Skipper Certificate, which depends on where you are from. On a bareboat charter yacht, you are your own mechanic, skipper, chef, dinghy driver, mate and deckhand.

However, if you are not familiar then you can appoint a skipper for just a few days or for the whole charter.

Flotilla charter yachts: This type of yachts will be suitable for the person who is lacking the experience. If you are feeling happy with company close by then you can select to take a flotilla charter yacht. This helps you to sail your own yacht however, you must have the support of a specialized skipper and crewmember. The skipper will make all the arrangements and will have all the local knowledge in order to make your holiday pleasurable. Once you are experienced you can sail alone in this flotilla yacht. Crewed yacht: It is a large yacht and could be any amount of crew from just an owner/skipper through to a large yacht with mate, captain and full crew. This type of yachts is suitable for the family or couple who are planned for their vacations. A husband and wife group on their own yacht is quite general where the wife will do all the domestic chores and cooking and hire a hand crewing also, you will not be asked to do any work but if you wish you can also involve in doing some work.  The main difference here to the bareboat yacht, it is the fact that the crewed yacht is owned by the husband and wife crew and will be in well maintained and better condition.
